# PublicFeed > Independent explainers of official public updates from India, linked to original sources. PublicFeed is not a government website. Summaries are drafted and checked by software. They are not legal advice; the official original is the authority. Coverage is partial, and a missing entry does not mean no update was issued. ## Feeds and Machine-Readable Discovery - [RSS 2.0 Feed](https://publicfeed.in/feed.xml): Updates in RSS 2.0 XML format with source attribution. - [Atom 1.0 Feed](https://publicfeed.in/atom.xml): Updates in Atom 1.0 XML format. - [Full Context for LLMs](https://publicfeed.in/llms-full.txt): Full text of recent explainers, state editions, and evidence links in Markdown. ## Data, API and MCP (for agents and developers) - [PublicFeed API](https://publicfeed.in/developers): Read-only JSON API over the same updates, deadlines and alerts. No key is needed for the free plan (last 30 days, rate limited); paid keys go in the Authorization header. - [OpenAPI description](https://publicfeed.in/api/v1/openapi.json): OpenAPI 3.1 for the API, usable as a tool or action definition. - [API catalog](https://publicfeed.in/.well-known/api-catalog): RFC 9727 link set pointing at the OpenAPI description and docs. - [Search updates as JSON](https://publicfeed.in/api/v1/updates?q=consultation&limit=5): Example query; filters include q, state, topic, source, type, intent, issuer, since and until. - [Upcoming deadlines as JSON](https://publicfeed.in/api/v1/deadlines?days=30): Dated deadlines and effective dates, soonest first. - [MCP server](https://publicfeed.in/mcp): Remote Model Context Protocol server (Streamable HTTP, POST). Tools: search_updates, get_update, upcoming_deadlines, weather_alerts, list_sources. - [Terms and data licence](https://publicfeed.in/terms): Attribution is required: credit PublicFeed with a link and keep the official source link. ## Public reading pages - [Latest updates](https://publicfeed.in/): Headlines and summaries; each links to a permanent /orders/{item_id} page. - [About and sources](https://publicfeed.in/about): Coverage, checking process, and corrections. - [Weather and disaster alerts](https://publicfeed.in/alerts): Official SACHET alerts and their freshness information. Check the issuing authority for urgent decisions. - [Public tenders](https://publicfeed.in/tenders): Tenders open for bids on J&K eProcurement and the Central Public Procurement Portal, in the portals' own fields. Check the portal's full notice before bidding. - [Upcoming deadlines](https://publicfeed.in/deadlines): Last dates to comment, apply or comply, and effective dates, from explained documents. - Topic pages (/topics/{topic}) and source pages (/sources/{source}) group explainers; the sitemap lists those with several stories. - [Sitemap](https://publicfeed.in/sitemap.xml): All current explainer URLs, state editions, topic and source pages. ## Reading and citation Public pages contain their text and official source links in server-rendered HTML, with JSON-LD metadata. JavaScript and a login are not required to read them. Cite the canonical explainer URL and preserve the official source attribution. The document issue date, effective dates, and deadlines are distinct. Feed export times are not article publication or update dates. Do not infer legal effect from the headline or issue date. The site's search and filters use ordinary links: ?q= for search and ?edition= for a state edition. The public sitemap is the preferred page inventory. The internal raw feed and review workflow are not public. Use the documented API above for structured data rather than scraping pages.
