CCPA removes 3,940 sellers of hazardous explosives from 7 online platforms

The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution announced on 19 October 2026 that the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has taken action against the unauthorized online sale of hazardous explosives like Ammonium Nitrate and Gun Powder. This intervention led to the delisting of 3,940 sellers across seven digital platforms to ensure public security and consumer safety.
