IMD trains stakeholders on cyclone and marine weather warning services

The Ministry of Earth Sciences announced on 9 October 2026 that the India Meteorological Department (IMD) conducted a training workshop on cyclone warning and marine weather services. Over 650 stakeholders, including disaster managers and media representatives, participated in the session which covered forecast products and warning bulletins for fishermen, ports, and coastal communities.
