Government targets 100 begging-free cities by 2031

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment announced on 12 October 2026 that it will hold a programme in Delhi on 14 October to advance the 'Bhiksha Vritti Mukt Bharat' vision. Govt invites bids for sale of 5.119-acre land parcel in New Delhi

The National Land Monetization Corporation (NLMC), Ministry of Finance, announced on 9 October 2026 the opening of bids for the sale of a 5.119-acre industrial land parcel in New Delhi's Najafgarh Industrial Area. The property, owned by HIL (India) Limited, has a reserve price of ₹829.69 crore.
