NDRF Academy Nagpur launches 500 kW solar power plant

The Ministry of Home Affairs announced on 23 October 2026 that the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) Academy in Nagpur operationalised a 500 kW solar power plant at its Suradevi campus on 22 October 2026. Completed by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), the plant aims to meet the campus's electricity needs through renewable energy and reduce reliance on the conventional power grid.

Government announces Rashtriya Ekta Diwas and Bharat Parv 2026 celebrations in Gujarat

The Ministry of Home Affairs announced on 21 October 2026 that Rashtriya Ekta Diwas and Bharat Parv 2026 celebrations will take place on 31 October 2026 at Ekta Nagar, Gujarat. The event will feature an Ekta Parade celebrating the end of armed Naxalism in India, with tributes paid by the Prime Minister to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
