Home Ministry seeks public input on new Broadband Public Protection and Disaster Relief network

The Ministry of Home Affairs announced on 23 October 2026 that it intends to implement a nationwide Broadband Public Protection and Disaster Relief (BB-PPDR) network. This system will provide critical push-to-talk, data, and video capabilities to police, armed forces, disaster relief, fire, and medical services.
