New rail sections and passenger train service launched in Madhya Pradesh
The Ministry of Railways announced on 24 October 2026 the inauguration of the Satna-Devendranagar (53 km) and Rewa-Churhat (65 km) rail sections. These projects, part of the Lalitpur-Singrauli Railway Project, aim to connect the Vindhya and Bundelkhand regions to the national network, specifically benefiting the Sidhi district.
