NIOS theory exams for Secondary and Senior Secondary courses start 22 October 2026

The Ministry of Education announced on 19 October 2026 that the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) will conduct theory examinations for Secondary and Senior Secondary courses starting from 22 October 2026. These exams will take place at designated centres in Maharashtra and Goa.

CISF intercepts two passengers with exam-cheating devices at Goa Airport

The Ministry of Home Affairs announced on 11 October 2026 that CISF personnel at Goa International Airport intercepted two passengers on 10 October 2026. The individuals were found carrying Bluetooth earpieces and electronic devices intended for cheating in competitive exams, specifically linked to the IIT Goa Non-Teaching Staff Recruitment examination.

Mormugao Port Authority and Stella Mary’s College partner for industry-academia collaboration

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways announced on 9 October 2026 that the Mormugao Port Authority (MPA) and Stella Mary’s College of Engineering, Tamil Nadu, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 7 October 2026.
