Union Health Ministry observes World Mental Health Day 2026

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare announced on 9 October 2026 that it will observe World Mental Health Day on 10 October 2026. The ministry highlighted the Tele-MANAS initiative, which provides free, 24/7 confidential counselling via the 14416 toll-free helpline and has received over 47.75 lakh calls since its launch on 10 October 2022.
