Education Ministry forms committee to probe student death at IIIT Ranchi

The Ministry of Education announced on 13 October 2026 that it has formed a three-member committee to investigate the death of a student at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Ranchi. The committee, led by the Director of Delhi University's South Campus, will review the institute's basic facilities, counselling services, and grievance systems to identify systemic gaps.
