PM announces ex-gratia for boat capsizing victims in Vaishali, Bihar

The Prime Minister's Office announced on 13 October 2026 that financial assistance will be provided to victims of a boat capsizing incident in Vaishali, Bihar. From the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF), an ex-gratia payment of Rs. 2 lakh will be given to the next of kin of each deceased person, and Rs. 50,000 will be provided to those injured.
