India invites Polish companies to invest and innovate in green energy and technology

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways announced on 22 October 2026 that Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has urged Polish firms to build and innovate within India rather than just selling to its market. Speaking at the India-Poland Business Forum, the Minister proposed creating a Startup Bridge, an Innovation Corridor, and an AI and Quantum Dialogue to strengthen ties in technology and manufacturing. He highlighted a need for roughly 280 billion to 300 billion euros in investment to reach a target of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel power capacity by 2030. The release does not say when these proposed initiatives take effect.
