The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) announced on 29 October 2026 the launch of the AyushTech Innovate: National Open Ayurveda AI Challenge in collaboration with Techfest, IIT Bombay and the Ministry of Ayush. This initiative aims to develop AI solutions for Ayurvedic clinical practice, research, and public health, with a grand finale scheduled for 15-18 December 2026 at IIT Bombay. Additionally, the institute launched an Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Facility to help entrepreneurs protect their innovations and signed MoUs with the World Ayurveda Foundation and Reliance Retail Limited to advance AI research and commercial skincare products. The release also noted that the AIIA-iCAINE incubator has supported 52 problem statements and provided ₹3 lakh each in seed support to nine startups.
