The Ministry of Finance announced on 30 October 2026 that the National Academy of Direct Taxes – Regional Campus (NADT-RC), Mumbai, and Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU), Mumbai, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This partnership aims to improve the legal skills of Income Tax Department officers and provide law students with practical tax administration experience through joint training, faculty exchanges, and internships. The agreement also explores Ph.D. opportunities for eligible tax officers at MNLU Mumbai. The MoU is valid for five years.
