Union Secretary reviews social welfare and anti-drug efforts in Jammu and Kashmir

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment announced on 22 October 2026 that Union Secretary Sudhansh Pant reviewed the implementation of social welfare schemes in Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir to observe Vigilance Awareness Week 2026

Under the theme "Probity for Prosperity," government departments, public sector banks, and autonomous bodies must promote integrity and transparency through public outreach and employee activities. Instructions for 2027-28 budget preparation and 2026-27 revised estimates

The J&K Finance Department has directed all administrative departments, heads of departments, and drawing and disbursing officers to begin preparing budget estimates for 2027-28 and revised estimates for 2026-27. Departments must scrutinize estimates and submit recommendations to the Finance Department by 31 October 2026.
